Kathy's story
Kathy's journey has been nothing short of remarkable, transitioning from modern languages teacher to award-winning serial entrepreneur, property developer and therapist. She’s worn many hats, including screenwriter, stage and film actress - most notably as the lead in Night of the Living Dead: Resurrection (once named Tesco’s 'Film of the Week') - and comic jazz siren Merthyr Kitt. Her eclectic career also saw her appear in music videos for acts like The Human League and the charismatic John Grant.
Now, Kathy has ventured into the world of writing, drawing inspiration from a wild experience where she was kidnapped straight off a beach in Mexico, wearing nothing but a bikini. Her latest passion is a series of Cardiff-based thrillers, The Tides of Tiger Bay. And much to the embarrassment of her beloved children, she’s found a new love in podcasting - blending ancient history with her witty takes on modern pop culture - alongside her charming partner-in-crime, Count Andrew Hubert von Staufer.
When she’s not causing a stir with her creative exploits, Kathy can be found skiing, fishing, sailing, or teaching her grandchildren the finer points of piracy on the high seas. Lessons include where to bury treasure, hide evidence, and stash what she playfully calls her "nefarious treasures".
