Kathy's story
From modern languages teacher to award-winning serial entrepreneur, property developer, therapist, screenplay writer, stage and film actress including the lead in Night of The Living Dead: Resurrection (Tesco’s ‘Film of the Week’ lol, and two hours of your life you’ll never get back), comic jazz siren Merthyr Kitt, featuring in pop videos from The Human League to the delectable John Grant, Kathy has finally turned her hand to writing.
Inspired by being kidnapped as a teenager in nothing more than her bikini from a beach in Mexico, and escaping through shark-infested waters, she is penning a series of Cardiff-based thrillers, The Tides of Tiger Bay. She's now even plotting a podcast...
Kathy now lives in the wilds of the Wye Valley with hubby, renowned author Andrew Hubert von Staufer, surrounded by sheep, cows and the occasional werewolf.
When not writing, Kathy loves to ski, fish, sail and teach her grandchildren how to be pirates on the high seas; where to hide bodies, evidence, and make treasures of every moment.
